Making Configurable Parts

Want to have multiple different lengths of the same extrusion? Want to be able to change bearing sizes? Shaft lengths? Bracket thickness? Don't make multiple copies of the same part, make them configurable instead!

Example: STORM Extrusion

1. The configurable property we care about here is length, so first, make the sketch for the extrusion as usual.

2. Then, extrude the part to whatever you want the default length to be. In this case, it is 10 inches, a reasonable default for STORM's 18 inch size limit.

3. Next, open the "configuration panel".
